Carondelet Historical Society

We are pleased to announce that we have recently been able to acquire the complete 32 volume set of The Papers of Ulysses S Grant.  The books were published by the Southern Illinois University Press.  Only a handful of libraries in the Midwest have a complete set.

U.S. Grant was stationed at Jefferson Barracks early in his Army career and spent some time in Carondelet.  In fact, Carondelet is mentioned several times in the early volumes of the set.
